My name is Van Huy Hoang, a Vietnamese-born British, who possesses both nationalities. I have always been grateful to live and work in the UK and wanting to help others who are less fortunate in life. I believe that beauty pageant, especially Miss Generation International will give me the platform to help people around me to and achieve my goal of social inclusion and boosting equality and diversity, both in UK and my home country Vietnam, where women are less represented.
I have a passion for fashion, modelling and beauty pageantry. My passion to model encouraged me to cat-walk at a recent fashion show where I learnt and improve my cat-walking skill. I also enjoy having photoshoots where I can express myself through creative poses.
Why you applied for Miss Generation beauty pageant ?
I am a dedicated woman who has been dreaming of becoming a beauty queen since a little kid. I have been a teacher for 8 years, and in the education sector for more than that. I have been inspiring more girls to study Maths, throughout my career, though my passion for Maths and education. Between financial disadvantages and divorcing my husband, I had to put off participating in beauty pageant until now. Rising from poor background, I have always had a thorough appreciation for education and a commitment to help change lives of young people. I had a Maths degree from City University, and a PGCE in secondary Maths, along with a NPQLTD (NPQ of leading teacher development) from Ambition institute, all of which have been helping me become a well-accomplished Maths teacher. Apart from this, I have a love for fashion and beauty. I recognise that as a beauty queen, I need to be well-rounded and advocate for both beauty and academic achievement.
I recently embarked on the exciting journey of beauty pageant, specifically in September 2025, I participated in Ms Pageant Queen UK. Here I learnt a lot from other beauty participants and grew as a beauty queen myself. I recognised that I always have to improve myself in order to perfect myself in all aspects, in order to help and influence others, to achieve my objectives overall as a beauty queen. Therefore, Miss Generation is an amazing beauty platform where I will be able to strengthen my womanhood and help inspire other to strive for personal growth and improve community. As a ethnic minority beauty queen, I believe that Miss Generation will help me amplify my inspiring message throughout the society to promote inclusion.
Interests. Plans for the future and your dreams ?
My background is education, so I would love to use this towards improving education in the UK and beyond. There has been so many inconsistent approaches towards educations that resulted in mistrust in education. In particular, the social media and the uses of phone in classroom are the biggest barrier to students’ enjoyment of learning and socialising, causing students to have fragmented attention span and critical thinking skill. I hope to become a speaker one day to address these particular issues that are harming young people nowadays.
I will continue my journey of pageantry and hope to become mentor for somebody who would like to make an impact and help people like me. I want to help them become a well-rounded woman with beauty and academia achievement.
