About yourself
I’m a proud advocate for change, purpose-driven entrepreneur, and mental health professional with roots in the Girlguiding tradition of service and empowerment. Originally from Nigeria, at the tender age of 18, I moved to the UK as a student with one bold dream to make a meaningful impact in the health sector. That dream guided me to study Innovation, and seven years later, I now run Butterfly Wellness part-time, a wellness-tech company dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with life-altering skin conditions by merging science, technology, and self-care. By day, I work full-time as a Mental Health Social Worker, supporting adults with severe mental illness to regain independence and thrive within their local communities. My passion for mental health is personal, powerful, and the driving force behind everything I do, whether it’s delivering care on the front lines, designing digital wellness tools through Butterfly Wellness, or mentoring young women to believe in their worth.
As a lifelong Girl Guide, I was taught the value of courage, compassion, and community from a young age. Those values have shaped my journey and continue to inspire me to be a role model for girls around the world, especially immigrants. I know what it’s like to start over, to navigate uncertainty, and to rise in the face of adversity. My story is one of resilience, and I hope it reminds young women that no matter their background, they can create the life they dream of, contribute to their communities, and lead with confidence and compassion.
Why you applied for Miss Generation beauty pageant ?
I applied for the Miss Generation beauty pageant because I believe this platform represents something truly powerful confidence, purpose, and inclusivity. As someone who has struggled with skin conditions like severe acne as a teenager and keratosis pilaris as an adult (which I still have today), I know first hand how deeply skin issues can affect self-esteem and identity. For a long time, I felt like I had to hide until I found my voice, and with it, my purpose.
Now, as the founder of Butterfly Wellness, I help others living with visible skin conditions to feel seen, supported, and beautiful ,inside and out. I want to share my story to show that beauty goes far beyond what we see in the mirror. My journey is a reflection of what so many people, especially young women go through silently. And if I can stand confidently on this stage, they can too.
I meet young girls every day who hold back from pursuing their dreams because they lack self-esteem or feel they don’t fit a certain standard. I applied to this pageant to represent them to be a voice of encouragement and proof that your past, your skin, or your fears don’t define you.
I admire the Miss Generation pageant’s vision and inclusivity, and I’m excited to align with a movement that celebrates real women, real stories, and real strength. Winning Miss Generation would give me the platform to amplify that message of hope and action: that beauty is more than appearance, it’s purpose in motion.
Interests. Plans for the future and your dreams ?
I’m someone who finds joy in the little things like singing, dancing, reading, and travelling are my favourite ways to express myself, explore new cultures, and stay inspired. These passions fuel both my creativity and my connection to the world around me.
Looking ahead, my top priority is completing my Master’s in Management degree at the University of Sunderland, where I’m developing the leadership and business skills I need to grow Butterfly Wellness into a global wellness-tech empire. My vision is to create innovative, inclusive tools that support mental health and skin health, and to transform how people feel about themselves inside and out.
At the same time, I plan to continue building my pageantry career, using this platform to raise awareness about mental health, self-worth, and the power of self-belief. I want to use my voice to reach more people, especially young girls and immigrants, and show them that they can overcome any challenge and live boldly.
One of my biggest dreams is to one day be featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, not just for what I’ve built, but for the lives I’ve impacted along the way. I believe in dreaming big, working hard, and staying grounded in purpose. Pageantry, education, and entrepreneurship are the pillars I’m standing on and I’m just getting started.
